Sangster International Airport
Jamaica's main international airport with direct flights from most US, Canadian, and UK cities. Located 5 minutes from the Hip Strip. Taxis and hotel shuttles available.
Resort Transfers
Most all-inclusive resorts offer airport transfers. Private transfers can be booked in advance ($25-40). JUTA taxis are the official airport taxi service.
Route Taxis
Shared taxis run set routes around MoBay for $1-2 JMD. Flag them down on the road. Not recommended with luggage but great for short local trips.
Rental Cars
Available at the airport from major companies. Drive on the LEFT. Roads can be challenging. Good for exploring beyond MoBay (Negril, Ocho Rios).

Safety Tips
Stay on the Hip Strip and resort areas at night. Avoid downtown after dark. Don't flash expensive jewelry. Use official taxis. The tourist areas are generally very safe.
Jerk Food
Try authentic jerk chicken/pork at Scotchies or the Pork Pit on the Hip Strip. Much better than resort food. Ask for "mild" if you can't handle heat.
Best Time to Visit
December-April is peak season with perfect weather but higher prices. November and May offer good weather with fewer crowds. Hurricane season is June-November.
